After a company expansion, our rapidly expanding software client is looking for another pair of hands to join their friendly and supportive writing team. Previous experience as a technical author is not essential, but the ability and enthusiasm to document complex technical subjects are.

Your main duties will be overhauling the existing technical literature and writing new user documentation for an innovative and hugely impactful product suite. In addition, you’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to help identify and plug gaps in customer documentation whilst providing focussed tutorials and straightforward reference material, as well as release notes, how-to guides and video content.

What’s needed?

The ability to communicate complex technical ideas simply, clearly, and concisely.
A strong academic or professional background in a technical subject, as well as an interest in software and/or web development.
The ability and enthusiasm to learn new cutting-edge technology and documentation.
An understanding of terms including HTML, HTTP and DOM.
Strong investigative and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to get the best out of people (especially busy SMEs).
