Job Details

Are you a video gaming enthusiast with a love for writing and looking for your big break? Or perhaps you’ve got a bit of professional writing experience under your belt and enjoy playing computer games in your spare time? If the answer is “yes” to either of those questions, we may have the perfect role for you!

Our hugely successful gaming hardware and software client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated junior / graduate technical author to join their small, friendly, and supportive documentation team. As part of this exciting role, you’ll write and create user guides, videos, presentations and marketing material for some of the most cutting-edge gaming technology out there. Our client would like you to:

  • Have a demonstrable interest in writing. Maybe you keep a blog, wrote articles for your university newspaper, or even write rules for tabletop gaming. Whatever your writing experience, we’d like to hear from you.
  • Be interested in video gaming and the technology behind how it works. Who knew all those hours playing Call of Duty, FIFA 22, Final Fantasy, etc. might one day lead to your dream career?
  • Have basic coding skills in Python, Ruby, C#/C/C++ or similar.
  • Be comfortable when speaking to people at all business and technical levels.
  • Have experience of MS Word.
  • Be cheerful, enthusiastic and not afraid to share your ideas.

In exchange for the above, on offer is a salary of up to £34,000 p.a. + a generous bonus + a host of attractive benefits. This is a hybrid role where you will work in the office once a week, with the rest from home.
