What
is Information Development?
Information
development is capturing knowledge and communicating it effectively.
The
process of developing information involves:
- Understanding
the users of the information and their needs
- Capturing
and/or researching the available knowledge (not always easy!)
- Organising,
restructuring and expressing the knowledge in a clear, simple and consistent
fashion, appropriate to the needs of the audience
- Delivering
the information in a usable format via the most appropriate tools and
technologies - handbooks, reference cards, intranets, integrated within
software, web sites, and so on.
These
tasks embrace a range of specialist skills including design, development,
delivery and project management. Edissero can provide you with any or
all of these skills.
